For the 7th Time the Leipzig Ballet celebrates the International Dance Day on April 29th. The whole day we honor dance in its own unique variety, starting at 11:00 a.m. with Saxony's biggest dance event: "Leipzig dances" (Leipzig tanzt!) invites everyone to explore and try all kind of dance styles from belly dance to hip hop with every dance school, company or association of Leipzig at out open air sage at Augustusplatz. The Youth Ballet of Berlin (Landesjugendballett Berlin) will be the highlight this year with their performance in the opera House at 6 closing this day with the finest of nowadays choreographies.

On April 29th, the annual International Dance Day - established in 1982 - will be honored by many dancers across the globe. The ICD House of Arts and Culture in Berlin would like to warmly invite you to join us in celebrating International Dance Day 2015.The universal language of dance acts as a medium of communication will be celebrated at this event. We are welcoming performers, audience members and academics alike. Dance, as an aspect of culture all over the world, is an extremely relevant example of cultural exchange and the use of culture to enhance human relations. The ICD House of Arts and Culture invites individuals, groups, and professionals from creative industries and the field of performing arts to come together and celebrate International Dance Day.
The event will take place on April 29th (from 17:00) at the ICD House of Arts and Culture, Genthinerstraße 20, Berlin.
